Have you caught yourself overthinking again? 🤔
You know, those fantasy ideas about signing up for your yoga teacher training, launching that podcast, starting that business or finally making that career switch?
Uh oh, life got in the way again.
And btw, it probably would never work anyway. You're already SO invested in your current sitch anyway.
I mean, that's what you tell yourself.
I get it!
I made a commitment that if I was going to complain about something or was looking for something that didn't exist yet, I was going to try and figure out how to fix it, create it, or improve it.
Actually, this is a useful exercise to think of new business ideas.
Here are a few of the ones that I tried but ended up trashing:
A social app for better maternal health care for expectant, birthing, and post-birth moms
An app to connect active people who want to work out and create community by making new friends (turns out Sweat Pals is doing a great job of this)
Can't forget LOSR - the dating app for people with no game (feel free to take this idea and run with it).
If I met anyone doing anything remotely interesting in a new business venture, I was trying to figure out how to partner with them.
Oooof, this is only scratching the surface of the ideas that were popping up.
That weight pressing on my heart that I was meant for something else would NOT let go, as much as I tried.
Did I try to pursue them all? Most of them, yes.
Did they work? Most of them, nope.
Did it blow up my life? Nah I did that on my own accord.
Trying these options only made life richer with more possibilities, not to mention the confidence that comes with going for it, regardless of whether it works or not.
You see, we cut ourselves off of possibilities because we feel like we have ZERO room to make any mistakes.
I'd like to introduce the concept of creative experimentation to you.
I call it:
🌟 BOOM: What brings you natural energy? Want help finding yours? Download Free PDF
🌟 ROOM: Where can you find room to expand your capacity?
🌟 BLOOM 🌷: Creative exploration and experimentation.
So where do you start? Start anywhere. Just put one foot in front of the others.
What is one thing you want to do but keep putting off?
OR something you ARE finally doing and want to be SEEN for it?
Email me back and let me know. I will always cheer you on or maybe I know someone who can help you get where you want to go!
