Self-punishment and being chained to the chair.
You need to pee. You have back-to-back meetings. 😩 You probably should have eaten hours ago.
But your work is piling up a mile high.
It looks nice out. ☀️ One of your meetings got canceled (thank GOD) leaving you with a glorious 30-minute block of time you weren't anticipating having. 🎉
What do you do with that bonus gift of 30 minutes?
I'll tell you what you do...
You work right through it. womp womp 😫 😥
I might be stalking you. OR I might be the QUEEN of fearing that my butt may permanently fuse to the chair because I haven't moved from it for hours. (Whoops!)
Listen, this productivity is KING thing is for the birds. The notion that it's better to punish yourself until you've gotten as much done as you can.....AND THEN....if you have any energy or time left in the tank, then and only then you can reward yourself. 👎
And the cycle repeats.
So let this be an affirmation that the next time you and I have an opening in our calendars, we are going to choose differently and do something nourishing instead. Need some ideas on what to do instead? I got you.
And if you don't have ANY openings in your calendar because your schedule is so packed, call me. Let's get you your precious time back.
Now, while we are taking some time for ourselves, let's talk about my new poem:
Mirror, mirror 🪞 on the wall, what in God's name made my face fall? 👵
Aye aye aye! We are talking all things plastic surgery trends, non-invasive treatments, and as always, beauty standards and cultural shifts and trends.
No matter where you fall on the side of the knife 🔪 or not, it's such an interesting perspective to understand what will work best for our face, our mind, and our self-esteem.
Today's guest on Late Learner Podcast is award-winning renowned TRIPLE board-certified facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Louis DeJoseph.
