Ouch! Dayum!

You and I were taught that if we work harder than everyone else, if we go to college, get the degree, the big job with the house, the family, the cars, etc, we will have ostensibly proven our worth.

Especially as a woman, you and I need to make it look effortless and over-prove our 'worth" in every room.

Double dayum!

In my first meeting with my business/life coach, she stopped me dead in my tracks.

"Allison, I know we are working on building your career - and I also noticed you had talked about feeling shame about not having as deep of friendships as you would like. Let's start there because they are usually interconnected."

TRIPLE DAMN!

You and I keep looking for the repeatable 1-2-3 formula isolated to just one area of focus.

If I have the right words on my website...or have the magic marketing formula...or the right resume or I can just get on the right stage, then I'll finally be fulfilled!

But it's not. It's all interconnected.

Hacks and shortcuts don't work for what you truly desire.

Your desires are too important. You and I are in the long game, baby. The corner-cutting is why we suffer.

it always comes down to expectations, doesn't it?

But there is a way to get everything you desire - it requires your unwavering commitment to the shadows and the light.

The masculine and the feminine.
