What's weighing heavy

February 22, 20233 min read

What's on your mind this week?

Seriously, I'm curious to know what you've been pondering lately.

It's such a cool exercise to ask people around you - in your circles, maybe even acquaintances or strangers at a coffee shop.

What are you struggling with?

What ideas are you thinking through?

What are you trying to get out of? Why?

What opportunities are you considering?

All the studies show that there is a loneliness epidemic right now - and you don't have to be alone to feel lonely.

Imagine if we started having more meaningful discussions and asking more interesting questions.

Small talk is THE WORST.

I mean, does anybody like small talk anyway? I'd rather poke my eyes out.

Imagine if you felt a little more self-expressed and gave the opportunity for others to feel seen and heard, too.

That's how you start a movement as a force for good!

This week, my role in my family and priorities are weighing deeply on my mind.

My productivity psychosis has me contemplating some massive changes in my priorities.

And honestly, this is the deepest and hardest work I've ever done.

If I keep excavating and stay true to this discovery, I could break some generational cycles right here.

So I am here for it.

2 part INVITATION today:

  1. What are you thinking through this week? Email me back and let me know if you want to share.

  2. Ask someone else one of these questions above and watch a deeper connection form.

And on the Late Learner Podcast front, I am SUPER excited for today's topic. It's one I don't know a lot about.

Sometimes when conventional medicine doesn't do the trick, you need to cast a wider net. And we are learning about other healing modalities that are gaining in popularity as their efficacy inches closer to a more mainstream platform.

Today’s guest is Dr. Marie Lesaicherre, the founder of Akesa Health who not only holds two masters in science, a Ph.D., two MBA’s, but experienced some of the most intense trauma from an early age and wanted to make the methods that finally helped her accessible to the public.

P.S. The concept of Fun has also been top-of-mind as it's Fun February. This book is amazing.

P.P.S. You can now listen to Late Learner podcast on Amazon Music! And as always, tell Alexa to play it, too! Did you know Late Learner has it's own IG account now? Will you give it a follow?

P.P.P.S. Lots of talk and undeniable results around the 4-day work week. Would you be resistant to it? Some even argue that work is an escape from a tumultuous home life.

P.P.P.P.S. Seems like a really sh*tty hobby. 💩 😂

P.P.P.P.P.S. The first Atlanta Wellness Retreat last week was amazing! It was an honor for me to witness a rise in the participants energy and joy right before my eyes. Want in on the next one? Take a moment to fill this out.
