Don't Die Controversy

Don't Die Controversy

January 09, 20252 min read

Welp, turns out I am in my first trimester of pregnancy. 🤰 🤷‍♀️

Wait - what? At 50?

Yeah, got my hormone report back and no WONDER I've been a raging witch and my sleep is all banged up.

My hormones are all out of whack. You're welcome for that information.

Anyway, aging is a strange, mysterious, merciless dirt road with too many pebbles and roots and broken tree branches getting in the way.

The prospect of living forever sounds like an absolute cathedral of misery.

So why in God's green earth is the controversial Bryan Johnson trying to convince us that living forever is the way to go?

And uh, isn't that the thing about life? It ends?

So you can imagine my delight when I saw that Netflix finally came out with a documentary called Don't Die profiling Bryan.

I've been curiously following the "Don't Die" movement for over a year.

Could you ask for a better conversation starter?

Bryan Johnson. Former Mormon. Tech founder. Ex-communicated from parts of his family. Used to be suicidal. Now wants to live forever. Spends $2.5M testing and experimenting on what can help him literally reverse his age and avoid death indefinitely.

And his Blueprint protocol is actually working.

Is Bryan Johnson a trailblazing pioneer helping us live better or a tech bro with too much money to burn?

I am diving deep into this notion today on Reinvention Room.

But I did something differently. I invited my friend Danielle Laughlin to have the conversation LIVE with me (she had never heard of this, either).

The real question is - would you want to live forever if you were in perfect health and kept your faculties about you and your loved ones could do it, too?

Less disease. Less addiction. More connection.

Whew! Once again, you will NOT leave this episode without a strong opinion.

And who knows? Maybe your opinion going in will change?
